French, Paul - Midge 6'3 4wt Bamboo RodFor sale here is a Paul French "Midge" bamboo rod 6'3" 2 2 for a 4 weight line. Paul French built most of his rods in the 90's and was greatly influenced at that time by Darryl Whitehead. He built very exquisite rods and those fortunate enough to own one tend to hold on to them. This one remains in excellent condition, full length and straight. The rod features darkly tempered cane with black wraps. Red and gold tipping at the winding check, ferrules,

I built this rod about 15 years ago

with a lovely medium-fast action

Very dark flame cane with lighter nodes

All other sections are full length

This reel appears to be the model 2 salmon

and maroon

The varnish is original and showing some signs of age
